Airborne hazardous substances present in the workplace can take the form of dust,
fume, gas, aerosol, mists and fibres, all of which can lead to ill health. The UK
government has set out legal workplace exposure limits for a range of substances in
order to help prevent occupational illnesses.
To accurately measure workers personal exposure to airborne hazards and determine
if legal exposure limits are being breached, we take air samples and use laboratory
analysis to determine the presence and quantity of hazardous substances.
Following any personal exposure monitoring, we will provide you with a detailed,
easy to understand report that clearly identifies the exposure levels of individual
employees, background levels, adequacy of existing controls and recommendations to
help you achieve lower exposure levels. Any gaps in legislative compliance will also
be highlighted along with recommendations in how compliance can be achieved.
